created new publishing site serve portal our division. contains several custom coded webparts fetch data db and/or rss feds , outside links.

i found absolutely dumb owner i'm having approve own page. there turn off functionality? or modifying document library runs through approval process?

in edit mode, there link "reminder: check unpublished items" , if click of web parts , links, pictures, , other contents within these web parts highlighted fat dotted red line. how rid of since sharepoint complaining embedded in these webpart?

if try create doc library called "announcements" error:

"the resource cannot found. description: http 404. resource looking (or 1 of dependencies) have been removed, had name changed, or temporarily unavailable. please review following url , make sure spelled correctly.

requested url: /announcements/forms/allitems.aspx"

for reason not word, can call buggsbunny , fine. "announcements" key word of kind in sharepoint? need create list name.

you should choose, when creating site, "publishing site" template rather "publishing site workflows". main difference between these 2 fact you'll approval workflow on activated later while former free of still allows activate if needed

don't know hosting webpart ressources (style library, document library, image library ? outside of sharepoint ? on 12 hives ?) if within sharepoint libraries , content not published 1.0 version available readers, you'll have error. deactivate approval workflow or publish , approve theses items. please note external content trigger red link, suggest use limited "visitor" account check final rendering. "outlining" nice addition it's not working expected, external content.

there default annoucement list in sharepoint (with dedicated template, not sure have 1 provisioned publishing template picked, might reason why have strange error. default announcements list or template not document library. if want document library name, , specific name gives error, suggest create document library called announcementsdocuments , change title "annoucements", way url clean of dreaded name , you'll have specified title.

i working on building python service. inducing error, not sure inducing it. ps c:\...> python .\file.py debug debugging service myservice - press ctrl+c stop. error 0xc00000f4 - not find service's pythonclass entry in registry error 1814 - specified resource name cannot found in image file. error 0xc0000080 - not locate module name in python class string (ie, no '.') this error coming pythonservicemessages.mc in pythonwin32. it turns out error result caused exception being thrown , python script dying off.
